The TV and the camera
Which TVs does FamilyView work on?
Samsung smart TVs from 2022 on, with the Samsung Slim Fit Cam.
What is the Samsung Slim Fit Cam?
A small Samsung camera that clips onto the top of the TV and plugs into USB. It's about $100, it's yours to keep, and it works with your TV's other apps too. Read how to video call on a Samsung TV.
Is there a box to rent or send back?
No. FamilyView is an app. Nothing to rent, nothing to return, no fees if you stop.
How do I connect the TV to my family?
FamilyView on the TV shows a short code. Enter it in the FamilyView phone app or at familyviewtv.com and the TV joins your family.
Calls
Who can call our TV?
Only the people in your family on FamilyView. Nobody else can reach your TV.
What do callers need?
The FamilyView app on an Android phone, or any web browser at familyviewtv.com. TVs with FamilyView can also call each other.
Does the person at the TV have to do anything?
The TV rings and shows who is calling. They press OK on the remote they already use.
Are calls private?
Yes. One-to-one video calls are end-to-end encrypted, calls stay inside your family, and there are no ads.
The baby monitor
What do I need for the baby monitor?
Any spare Android phone as the camera, and a phone, a web browser or a Samsung TV to watch on. See the baby monitor.
Is the monitor free?
On your home Wi-Fi, yes: 8 hours a day, forever, no ads. Watching away from home is on the Family plan.
Can I talk to the baby?
Yes. Hold the talk button and your voice plays in the nursery.

Free to start. Family is $14.99 a month, Always-On $19.99 and Multi-House $34.99 for up to four homes. See pricing.
Is there a free trial?
Every new family gets the full baby monitor free for its first 30 days, automatically: watch from anywhere, no time limits, no card needed. Calls to the TV, photos and video messages are on the paid plans, month to month.
How do I cancel?
From the app or familyviewtv.com, in your account. No contract, nothing to send back.
Do you sell our data?
No. Your subscription is how FamilyView pays its bills. We don't show ads, and nothing about your family is sold.
Can I delete my account?
Yes, any time, from the app or at familyviewtv.com/delete-account.
