For moms and dads
A baby monitor that only your family can see.
Use a spare phone as the camera and watch on your phone or right on the living room TV. No ads, no strangers, no company watching your nursery. Free on your home Wi-Fi, forever.
Works with any Android phone as the camera. Watch on a phone, the web, or a Samsung TV.

Why we built it
A monitor should never show your baby an ad.
FamilyView started with a baby monitor app that did exactly that. Here is what happened, in our founder's words.
We used a phone app as a baby monitor, and it worked great for us. When our new baby came in January, I set it up on the old phone to watch her. Connecting from my phone took too long, so I went back to her phone, and it was playing an ad. A TikTok ad, women shaking their butts, facing my days-old daughter. I couldn't get it to switch which camera was watching. I got so mad I went and built my own baby monitor.
A baby monitor is the most private camera in your house. It should show your baby to you, and show your baby nothing at all. So the FamilyView monitor has no ads, no feed, no strangers and no algorithm. It shows your baby to your family. That's all it does.

Use what you have
Your old phone is a great baby monitor.
That phone in the drawer has a better camera than most baby monitors, and a better microphone. Clip it into a gooseneck phone mount on a dresser or shelf at least three feet from the crib, bend the arm so the phone looks down at the baby, and run the charging cord away from the crib. That is your monitor, with the view you will see on the TV. Never put the phone or its cord on or in the crib: the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission says monitor cords belong at least three feet away from it.
Watch from your own phone in the next room, or put the nursery on the big living room TV while you finally sit down for a show. You hear every sound, and you see the whole crib, clearly.
Everything a worried parent checks for
Built for 3 a.m.
On the big screen
Watch the nursery on your Samsung TV, your phone, or a web browser. See the whole crib, not a grainy thumbnail.
Loud sound alerts
When the room stays loud, your phone buzzes and chimes, even with the app closed. A door click won't set it off; a cry will.
Talk back
Hold a button and your voice plays in the nursery. Shush from the couch.
From anywhere
At work, at the store, across the country: on the Family plan, the monitor follows you.
Keeps going when the internet stops
If your internet goes down, the monitor keeps working on your home Wi-Fi. If the power takes out the router, the monitor phone makes its own connection to your phone. You never lose the picture.
Private by design
Only your family can watch. You always see who is watching right now. Pause the camera with one tap whenever you want privacy.
Lullabies built in
Luna Tunes plays soft lullabies in the nursery, and you can record your own voice between songs.

The free plan
Free on your home Wi-Fi. Really free.
On your home Wi-Fi, the monitor is free: 8 hours a day, every day, with no ads and no trial clock. Need a long day? Borrow an hour from the rest of the month with one tap.
When you want the monitor away from home, or a phone that never stops monitoring, the paid plans start at $14.99 a month for the whole family. And for your first 30 days, the full monitor is free from anywhere, so you can try everything before you decide.
Questions parents ask
Can I use an old phone as a baby monitor?
Yes. Any Android phone can be the camera: put it on a gooseneck mount or shelf at least three feet from the crib, angled down at the baby, with the charging cord out of reach, and open FamilyView as the monitor. See where to put the baby monitor camera. Watch from your phone, the web, or a Samsung TV.
Is it really free?
Yes. On your home Wi-Fi the monitor is free for 8 hours a day, forever, with no ads. Your first 30 days include watching from anywhere, free. After that, watching away from home is on the Family plan, $14.99 a month.
Can I watch the baby monitor on my TV?
Yes. With FamilyView on a Samsung TV, the nursery shows on the big screen. You see the whole crib, and you can talk back from your phone.
Who can see my baby?
Only people in your family on FamilyView, and the monitor shows who is watching at every moment. There are no ads and no public feed, and we never sell anything about your family.
What happens if the internet goes down?
The monitor keeps working on your home Wi-Fi, and if there is no router at all, the monitor phone connects straight to yours.
Does it alert me when the baby cries?
Yes. When the room stays loud for a moment, your phone buzzes and chimes, and a notification arrives even if the app is closed.
Tonight, check on the baby from the couch.
Set up the free monitor with a phone you already own. It takes a few minutes, and it never shows you an ad.
